More about JESKO

Jesko may have had a rough start, found as a stray and arriving at Battersea underweight and unwell, but he’s quickly blossomed into a sweet and affectionate young pup with so much love to give. Originally thought to be a Labrador cross, Jesko looks more like a Cane Corso or similar large breed mix, so we’ve listed him as a Mongrel – but whatever he is, he’s 100% wonderful.

Despite his uncertain beginnings, Jesko has taken everything in his stride. Now much healthier thanks to good food and proper care, he’s already showing signs of becoming a strong, happy boy. Due to his rough start, future adopters will need a brief vet chat, however he’s making excellent progress.

Jesko adores people – strangers and friends alike – and is happiest when he’s by your side. He’s met a few dogs here at Battersea and has shown impressively polite manners, reading cues and interacting gently. As a growing pup, Jesko can get a bit excitable and mouthy, so he’ll need patient owners ready to guide him into adulthood with kind, consistent training.

Big in size and heart, Jesko is perfect for someone ready to welcome an active, loyal companion and who’s happy to do a little research on large guardian breeds. With the right start, Jesko will make a brilliant best friend.
